Asian Health Services provides health care services to the low-income, non-English or limited English speaking Asian community and advocates for the underserved. Founded in 1974, AHS is a nonprofit, licensed community clinic which provides medical, health education, patient advocacy services. We provide services in Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Laotian, Mien, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and English.

Description: AHS trains bilingual community members to interpret in health care settings. Volunteers needed to help develop English and Cantonese training and screening tools. Male voice talent with a native American English accent is needed for recording interpreter training materials. Pleasant voice, good enunciation, and clear pronunciation are necessary. |

Description: AHS trains bilingual community members to interpret in health care settings. Volunteers are needed to help develop English and Cantonese training and screening tools. This job is to record medical terminology lists for students to develop their knowledge and pronunciation of terms. We are looking for native Cantonese speakers who can read/write Chinese. Good enunciation, clear pronunciation, and accurate tones are necessary. Knowing medical terminology would be ideal! |

Description: Administrative tasks: filing, data entry, telephone contact. Advocacy tasks: interpretation for patients at AHS Membership Department and assist in outreach activities. |

Description: Work with Public Relations & Development staff on special events, research, and fund raising. Opportunities available for developing community groups and resources, learning about grant making and other aspects of fund raising and development. |
