Health Education/ Special Projects

Asian Health Services offers health education and wellness programs in various areas such as HIV/AIDS prevention, cancer prevention, and teen outreach. Asian Health Services also offers labor coaching, prenatal education, and translation and interpretation services.


HIV and AIDS Project
Asian Health Services provides confidential HIV testing and counseling for individuals as well as Asian community outreach programs in the East Bay. (Please note that as of February 1, 2007, our free confidential and testing program is temporarily suspended, pending further notice.)  Asian Health Services emphasizes an early intervention approach to HIV care.

Men's Program
Asian Health Services has started its Men's Program.  AHS has expanded its focus towards providing quality health care to men, specifically focusing on gay or bisexual men and men who are at high risk for HIV/AIDS and other STDs.

Youth Program
Asian Health Services has increased its focus on providing quality services to the at-risk youth community through prevention programs for HIV and AIDS, Teen Pregnancy, and Abusive Relationships.

Walk for Health
Asian Health Services no longer has a Walk for Health program, but you can still view information for starting your own walking program.
